Local Business Spotlight: The Pie Safe Baking Company

There has been a lot of excitement going around about a new bakery coming to Main Street Forest City. We were very curious and lucky enough to meet with the Chef, Beth Hollandsworth, to learn more. So, we thought we would share with you what we learned about this awesome new business in our county!

The Pie Safe Baking Company is located in the town clock building, on the corner of West Main Street and Cherry Mountain Street. As the name suggests, pies will be their main focus – featuring warm and cold sweet pies. They will also offer delicious pastries, specialty breads, muffins, cookies, coffee from a local roasting company and have a full espresso bar. They will have some gluten-free and vegan options.

    Meet Chef Beth Hollandsworth:

Beth is such a delight, extremely talented and graduated from AB Tech in Asheville as a Pastry Chef. She competed on their Hot Food Team and won Silver at the State Competition in Charlotte. Beth has a clear vision for the company and sees it as a hub where everyone is welcome to hang out, enjoy a book, study, have meetings, date nights and more while enjoying a cup of coffee and a treat. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and designed by local designer Deb Lancaster. We can’t wait for you to see and experience this place!
